The FreeSync Range at 4K is only 48 to 60 Hz (FPS).Īnd the FreeSync Range at 1080p is ~ 20-120Hz. Meanwhile, might as well install the previous AMD driver that does work Freesync on your TV until you get the answer you are looking for. You may also want to open a Samsung Support ticket to see if other Users are having similar issues with Freesync on that particular model. Just pointing out that Users, including myself, may ask certain questions or post certain answers to help the User troubleshoot.Īnyways, Hopefully AMD Support may help you. But you have to realize, in the past, many Users will post questions not aware of the capabilities of their Hardware or software and ask why it doesn't work. I am sure pokester wasn't purposely trying to insult your intelligence intentionally. If you really want to officially contact AMD Support, you can open a ticket from here: Online Service Request | AMD At times, One or both AMD Moderators may get involved with a certain thread to help the Users. But this is a User to User Forum where Users try to help other Users help fix their issues. This forum is moderated by AMD Employees. Considering that I can't even get concrete understanding that my setup IS FreeSync compatible I'm probably doomed to juggling drivers to suit my needs. It's why I was hoping this could get the attention of those who actually work on the drivers and can explain some of what I'm seeing. I realize this issue is a massive pain to troubleshoot, with obscure hardware and use cases, and most people probably don't even know what to look for with FreeSync. If I can not talk to AMD employees here where can I go for proper support/discussion? I bought the card and the display expressly for FreeSync, low latency, and 120hz in a living room environment with emphasis on emulation + support for modern games. I'm willing to acknowledge that maybe these apps do some things outside of spec or what the drivers expect games to do, but regardless this is something that can be fixed with a rollback (but causes issues in some newer it was unhelpful because it was false and you insulted my intelligence by assuming I would start a thread with hardware that doesn't support the feature. Beyond 18.3.3 a long pause before rendering/alt tabbing is fixed, but FreeSync breaks in some instances while still working in most others, suggesting that something key has changed with how these newer drivers work. Beyond that point tearing and judder is exhibited in all three examples. What I know: smooth scrolling with no tearing will occur in Retroarch OpenGL exclusive mode in 50hz games, VICE rendering to DX surface, and Dosbox OpenGL exclusive mode at low framerates, all with no vsync and merely capped by the emulation speed in 18.3.3 and earlier. Guys, the display supports FreeSync, at the very least this is established and we can move on from that simple fact. Any insight on why FreeSync functionality has changed in the last year or so? I realize this is hard and fiddly thing to test for, but this is expensive tech, something you market, and a huge incentive for me to stick with your products in the future. I would continue to use 18.3.3 but it has bugs in some newer games so it's not magic bullet. I also notice that your own FreeSync windmill demo has completely broken FreeSync AND Vsync after 17.11.3 as stated in Freesync broken since 17.11.4 yet 17.11.3-18.3.3 will properly FreeSync in every other instance I could throw at it, including Nvidia's Pendulum demo. There will be a bit of a pause or black screen for ~3 seconds before rendering starts, like it's rendering a different way than in newer drivers where it's a lot quicker to start (but occasionally with broken FreeSync as stated). Of note, I notice the way any hardware accelerated game initializes in these older drivers is different. These issues are completely cleared up 17.11.3 through 18.3.3. My display is a NU8000 55" Samsung TV, for reference, updated to the latest firmware. A 60hz game seems to be fine in Retroarch. It will exhibit judder and even occasional tearing in these instances. Two reliable ways to recreate the issue: Retroarch with any PAL/50hz game with the only sync method being "sync to game's exact refresh rate", VICE (C64 emulator) which is primarily PAL. I've seen this referenced in other threads such as Ongoing freesync issues 18.3.4 , but there is indeed something broken or different about FreeSync in key instances starting with this driver. They can hold more weight than wood or composite. They are relatively new and have not been tested long-term.įabricated platforms are made of plywood with a metal frame. Unless you have many of them width is limited. They can be very flexible, which can cause bouncing and shifting. They can be nailed and screwed as needed. They can be carried and lifted by one person. They can be overlapped to make the deck longer as needed. They do not generate or retain heat which is especially helpful in hotter climates and the summertime. Some advantages of using pine boards are: One exception to that rule is marking pain on the ends of the board. Remember, nothing can be painted on the boards to obscure them besides flame retardant and slip protection. I often request my company name or logo stamped on them for identification. Most manufacturers of OSHA boards will also have their names stamped on the board. They will be 2" high and 10" wide and come in lengths of 8',12', or 16.' OSHA-approved boards will be stamped with OSHA on the sides. Osha-approved boards are made from yellow pine and treated. Wood planks or boards should always meet OSHA requirements whether you are on a commercial job or not, and they can be laminated or sawn. We will start with the oldest and most common scaffolding plank, wood. Today we are going to go over the kinds of planks we use for decking and the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Today though, we have a variety of materials that we can use, and depending on our frames and the job we are on, one type may be better than another for specific applications. At one time, the only type of scaffold boards and planks we could use were wood-made, and even the fabricated metal planks are sometimes still called boards on the job site. If it's an irregular shape, you can try to do the very thing that caused Archimedes to shout the famous word Eureka! Probably you heard that story - Archimedes was asked to find out if the Hiero's crown is made from pure gold or just gold-plated - but without bending or destroying it. For a right triangular prism, the equation can be easily derived, as well as for a right rectangular prism, which is apparently the same shape as a box.įor regular three-dimensional objects, you can easily calculate the volume by taking measurements of its dimensions and applying the appropriate volume equation. Prism = A h Ah A h, where A A A is a base area and h h h is the height. For a pyramid with a regular base, another equation may be used as well: Pyramid = ( n / 12 ) h s 2 cot ( π / n ) (n/12) h s^2 \cot(\pi/n) ( n /12 ) h s 2 cot ( π / n ), where n n n is a number of sides s s s of the base for a regular polygon. Pyramid = ( 1 / 3 ) A h (1/3)Ah ( 1/3 ) A h where A A A is a base area and h h h is the height. Rectangular solid (volume of a box) = l w h lwh lw h, where l l l is the length, w w w is the width and h h h is the height (a simple pool may serve as an example of such shape). Sphere = ( 4 / 3 ) π r 3 (4/3)\pi r^3 ( 4/3 ) π r 3, where r r r is the radius.Ĭylinder = π r 2 h \pi r^2h π r 2 h, where r r r is the radius and h h h is the height.Ĭone = ( 1 / 3 ) π r 2 h (1/3)\pi r^2h ( 1/3 ) π r 2 h, where r r r is the radius and h h h is the height. Here are the formulas for some of the most common shapes:Ĭube = s 3 s^3 s 3, where s s s is the length of the side. There is no simple answer to this question, as it depends on the shape of the object in question. In this post, we collect some useful methods and show them to you. Following the upgrade, users were required to reconfigure their preferred settings and reinstall applications. Technically, the company never officially supported an upgrade path from Windows 7 to Windows 11, but users previously had the option to upgrade the operating system through the official setup while retaining their files. Despite the expiration, users who upgraded during this period could continue activating their Windows 10 installations without purchasing a new product key.įast forward to 2021, when Windows 11 was introduced, users still had the ability to activate their Windows 11 installations using Windows 7 and 8 product keys.
